Our latest mobile commerce site was for “Saras Halal Foods”.
Key features we considered during the design phase of the project included:
- Top-level product category listing featuring a clear hierarchy of products
- Product pages including photos, specifications, prices, reviews, cross-sell recommendations
- Wish lists / Save for later / Favourites
- Stock status
- Reserve and collect at store
- Order history
The second generation of the mobile site will look at including:
- Registration for further info or mobile alerts
- Maps of retail network
- One-click purchasing
- Multiple payment methods
- Share functionality
- Social Media
- Direct links to customer service or call-back requests
- Real time chat support
We decided to go for a granular approach of starting simple and only adding more sophistication once we better understood how the mobile site was being used. As with all well-designed websites, there rarely is a “one-size fits all” solution.
